The Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association Releases 2017-2021 Strategic Plan
Ottawa, ON (October 4, 2017) – The Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association (CCPSA) Board of Directors and Strategic Planning Committee are proud to announce the release of the CCPSA’s 2017-2021 Strategic Plan.
The entire Strategic Planning process occurred over the course of one year and included engagement with over 150 individuals and stakeholders comprised of athletes, officials, coaches, National and Provincial Sport Organizations, Multi-Sport Organizations, Funders, and leading disability sport practitioners.
Included in the process was a review and modification of the Organization’s core statements including the vision, mission and values of the CCPSA, to ensure they align with both what we are actually doing, and where we see the direction of the Organization in the future.
“We want to thank everyone who contributed their valuable time and insight to this important process for our Organization” noted Sharon Martin, Interim President, CCPSA. “As the National Sport Organization for boccia, we continue to embrace the important role and responsibility we have to develop and grow this inclusive sport across the country at every level. In addition, we understand there is a broader role for CCPSA in education, advocacy, and partnerships, for Canadians with cerebral palsy and related disabilities who wish to participate in sport and physical activity.”
The new CCPSA Strategic Plan is built around five key pillars, each of which contains objectives and key performance indicators. The five pillars are: Boccia High Performance; Boccia and Cerebral Palsy Participation & Development; Governance & Leadership; Communications & Marketing; Funding & Partnerships.
